Thanks for the update! Exciting! :)
SO glad you posted this quick note, so we know that your parents have arrived safely and are with you--wonderful!!! And it is so great that they are there to be part of your and Alina's Gotcha Day.
Blessings to you all!
Marcia
I can't wait to hear how everything goes tomorrow!
Good luck tomorrow! What a grand day it will be. Say "hi" to your parents for Randy and me.
Okay - I'm DYING to know how it felt walking out of the orphanage with Alina for the first time...I'm sure you're extremely busy with her and with your parents there...fill us in when you can!
Ditto what Julie said! Show us pics!!!!
Come on, I'm dying here! I'm sure this means you are now a very busy mom; I can't wait to read all about it.
Just one pic? Or a quick note? PRETTY PLEASE??? :)
To all of Kim's friends who follow this blog: She is fine. She has Alina. She and her parents have been sick, so she has not been able to post. Alina is a very happy little girl to be with her Mama, Grandpa, and Grandma!!! She will let us know soon when she will be home!!!! So exciting!!!
Kim, I think all of your fans are dying for an update. I hope all is well, and you can fit in a quick message to us in the midst of all of the hugs and kisses!
Thanks for the update Tamela!
Kim, I hope you all feel better soon!
Thanks for the update. Sorry to hear the adults have been sick...but wonderful to hear Alina is so happy! HOORAY! Feel better soon Kim and all!
Sorry to hear you and your parents have been sick! What a way to start this new adventure together! And what a way for them to spend their visit with you there. Oh, how I hate that for you all. I'm thrilled that Alina is happy in the transition with her new family. Great news! :)
Good news to share with everyone checking Kim's blog---
(I was grateful for Tamela's comment with a reassuring update, and want to do the same because we all have Kim and Alina and her parents in our thoughts and prayers.)
Through an email I received yesterday (Saturday) from another adoptive family currently in Taraz, I saw a photo of Kim and Alina and her parents out and about in Taraz yesterday (the other adoptive family ran in to them near a restaurant). The family's email said that Kim and family are leaving today (Sunday, September 20th) for Almaty (it is about a 7-8 drive by car; families often travel by train or car, or less often by airplane, for "processing out". As a fellow Taraz adoptive Mom, I know that means that they'll have a US Immigration-required medical examination of Alina (this is done at the "SOS Clinic" where there are English-speaking doctors and a modern medicine practice)and then they'll go to the US Consulate for the "exit interview" and finalizing Alina's travel papers.
So it appears all is on schedule and going fine!

Thanks for the update Marcia! I'm so glad to hear they are feeling OK and things are moving along as scheduled. I'm sure Kim will catch us up once they get home and settled in. She knows we're all dying to see more photos of that little cutie!
Thanks so much for the details, Marcia!!!
